It was a hot evening in Cincinnati. The birds were flying around the grocery store. The young man at the cash register was named Paul. As he helped her take out her bags to her car he gave her a vein smile. She was walking to the other side of her car she wave goodbye to him. Before she closed her door he said “I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name”. She said “My name is Amira. As she closed the door to drive away she had a small but sharp smile on her face.
Later that evening, she made it home and her little brother Sammie helped her to get the groceries out the car. She walked in the house and pulled her shoes. She set the keys on the kitchen counter. As Sammie and Amira put up the grocery they were dancing to the tunes in their head.
When they finished putting everything up Amira made dinner for the whole family. She cooked everyone’s favorite food. When her father got in from his new job everyone sat down to eat. After everyone finished they ate the dessert that the mother had fixed. When everyone was done with dinner they went to their separate rooms. Everyone lay down because it was time for bed.
The next day, they were out of mayonnaise so she went back to the store. As soon as she walked in he said good morning to Amira. She replies good morning back. She asked him what aisle was the mayonnaise on. It was on aisle five. When she went up to the counter he rang her up. They had a small but interesting conversation. She invited him to dinner.
She goy in her car once again and drove home. She told her mother that she was having company for dinner. She told him to be there at & on the dot. He arrived at 6:30 so he wouldn’t be late. The food had already been set in place. Everything was laid out all nice. They sat by each other in the dining area. He laughs at all her father jokes. He complimented her mom numerous of times. After they finish eating they played twister. They got in a place where they were all wrapped up. They laughed and fell at the same time. They enjoyed that day so much that through the years they began to grow closer together.
Two Years later
Amira one day had a great job opportunity. She had to move out of town. She moved without telling Paul. Amira had lived out of town for about 2 years. One day she received a phone call from her father. He told her he had some disturbing news. She found out her mother had cancer. She stood there and turned completely purple. She was lying on the floor senseless. Her friend decided to go by her house because every Wednesday they go out to eat and Amira didn’t show up. When her friend saw her she immediately ran her to the hospital. She was the third person to see a doctor her friend was in the waiting room waiting patiently. Amira turned out to be okay. She immediately took a plane to Cincinnati. The next day was the funeral. After the funeral everyone was meeting over her dad’s house for a family gathering. So she had to go the store to buy more food. When she went into the store she did not see Paul. He had got a better job somewhere else. Soon as she was walking out he was walking in to get his last check. She walked back in with him. Then she told him what happen to her mother.
After the funeral
They saw how much they missed each other. They got an appointment together. After a year they bought a house. Together they came up with them working in the same city. A year later they had a little girl named Paula and a son named Amiondi. Her father definitely approved. They lived happy together. No one knows till this day no one knows what happen to little Sammie. Some think he’s in a gang. Other’s think he has a wife and children and lives on the other side of the world. All his sister hopes is where ever he is he is safe.
